17 March 2025Volunteer Litter Pick on Bungay Tin River
Anglia Print took part in a volunteer litter pick with the River Waveney Trust on the Bungay Tin River.
Tin River takes its name from the corrugated metal sheets that were put into the channel at the end of WWll. They are believed to be Anderson bomb shelters, repurposed to reduce bank erosion.
In total 11 full bags of rubbish were collected alongside a pile of larger items. Successful morning! ✅
The River Waveney Trust are planning a restoration project on the Tin River with the aim to:
• Increase wildlife habitat in the river catchment
• Reduce the likelihood of flooding
• And improve water quality.
Here are a few pictures of us in action!
